The Boma is a luxury safari restaurant, set amongst Port Elizabeth’s protected Milkwood trees. Celebrate your special birthday, anniversary or festivity in the midst of the Eastern Cape’s beautiful coastal forest Themed as a tented safari camp, The Boma offers an outdoor African experience combined with service excellence and top function facilities.

Set under large established trees in a cobbled courtyard, and teaming with forest wildlife, including monkeys, duiker, bushbuck, and many beautiful and rare birds, The Boma offers a special experience which will never be forgotten.

We are the ideal venue for private celebrations, such as Weddings, 21st, 30th and 40th Birthdays, Significant Anniversaries and other Momentous & Memorable Occasions.

Within easy driving distance from central Port Elizabeth (5km from Walmer), The Boma is situated at 424 Sardinia Bay Road in Lovemore Park.

VENUE HIRE

For Weddings we charge a venue hire fee of R3500 for weekdays and a a fee of R4500 for weekends.

40 guests (Thereafter a surcharge fee of R500 will be added for amount under 40) This amount entitles you to exclusive use of the venue, tables, chairs, cutlery and crockery.

BAR FACILITIES
We are a fully licensed venue and offer full cash bar facilities.
The rate for a Barman is R100 for the night and gratuity is at your discretion.

DÉCOR
Should you require décor, you are more than welcome to arrange décor for the venue or décor can be arranged at an extra cost.

Waitrons – We usually suggest one waitron per 20 guests and the cost thereof is included in the price per person package.

Our birthday party menu lets you plan a party that fits into your budget - allowing you to organize as much, or little of your party as you would like, without the hassle of trying to fit a mob of screaming youngsters into your home! Please note:
Minimum of 40 guests required at a venue hire fee of R1000.
A deposit of 50% is required to secure your function booking. This deposit will be offset against your final invoice. This deposit is non-refundable.
Guests are permitted to bring their own champagne and wine, at a corkage fee of R25 per bottle.
Payment in full is due one week prior to the function date.
Venue hire is until 5pm for lunchtime functions and until 12pm for dinner functions.
Please understand that like most venues, our closing time is 12pm
